do better.

in this second installment of my personal ethos and standard that i am holding my teams at Rock Church to i am covering the part that hits home most for me.

through my life experiences and revelation from the Lord about who i am meant to be my personal mission statement was birthed. this part of my ethos is my personal mission.today i continue with do better.it is an honor and privilege for me to be able to receive compensation for what i do for Rock Church and to serve those that Rock Church is called to serve. make no mistake, my role is not a reward, nor is it a thing i have earned. not one of us has the right to claim as our doing what God has sovereignly given us. my serving at Rock Church cannot be just a job, it must be a calling—a burning passion inside of me to see His Kingdom advanced in this world.it is not enough to simply do my job: i will do it with excellence. it is not enough for me to meet my obligations: i will exceed them and do so consistently. it is not enough for me to do things well: i will exceed the standards set for me in this world and lead by example towards a more Christ like life.i will not simply do, i will do and inspire those around me to become the best version of themselves possible.statement“i will do all things with excellence and reliability and set the standard for what it means to serve where God has placed me”scripture

“slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. it is the Lord Christ whom you serve. For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality.” colossians 3:22-25 (nasb)
